The evoke-ensemble performs the music of bassist/composer Tim Paul Weiner. An eclectic, bass driven, musical hybrid, steeped in groove and improvisation, inspired by jazz, influenced by film, with flavors running the full musical spectrum from world music, to classical and beyond.
Þetta Reddast
Þetta Reddast (pronounced "theh-tah reh-dahst) is an Icelandic expression meaning "it will all work out." More than a phrase, it reflects a quiet optimism and a belief that, even in uncertain times, things have a way of finding their place.
That simple phrase became the guiding spirit behind this music. Through this collection of contemporary jazz, the Evoke Ensemble explores resilience, hope, and the power of creativity as a way to move forward. With rich harmonies, deep grooves, and expressive improvisation, these compositions offer both a refuge from the noise of the current world as well as a celebration of resilience, while embracing the energy and connection that music can bring.
